"It is powerful, quick, sleek and packed with a bunch of amazing features. Sure, it is not perfect. I would have liked to have seen a front facing camera so we could maybe video chat in the future but RIM must be saving that for QNX devices. "

"One of the core new features of BB7 is the ‘Liquid Graphics’ technology – which is basically a fancy way of saying that the user interface doesn’t lag like a sleepy turtle anymore."

"RIM has managed to squeeze a great QWERTY keypad on the Bold's tiny frame, and has even made the buttons slightly wider than before to cater to bigger hands. The raised beveled edges on the buttons make it easy to type with few mistakes. There's a satisfying click sound with each press, but it can be quite distracting if you're banging away at an email in a quiet place. Other than that, we found the overall typing experience very pleasant." 4/5 Stars

"...the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 gives us another great display. It's a 2.8" TFT capacitive touchscreen of VGA resolution. Crisp image at 286ppi and good sensitivity, the lack of haptic feedback is the only thing to complain about."

"The touch-and-type Bold 9900 is the sleekest, zippiest BlackBerry to date, but there are key features missing, which business users would have loved to have had included." 8/10

"There's no question that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is the best OS 7 handset that RIM has debuted." 4/5 stars

"Video offers capture at 720p, so gets the HD stamp, but again, we’re dealing with a fixed focus model so you can’t get the drama of close-up video that you do elsewhere. The results are reasonable but rather than leading the way, it's simply trying to keep up." 4/5 stars

"For once, RIM is taking the initiative, thanks to the inclusion of a near field communication chip – a fairly new technology that's been talked about for years. RIM is the first to properly take the plunge and add the tech in, while the others dilly-dally about whether to include it." 4/5 stars

"Despite sizing up with a higher 5-megapixel shooter, we’re disappointed by its results since it lacks auto-focus, fine details are faint, and shots tend to appear over-exposed. " 7/10
